Nuevo Leon and Coahuila Birding- a 3 days in Monterrey and Saltillo
Day 0 - Arrival and overnight in Monterrey.
Day 1 - Early morning visit to state parks in Monterrey, with sub-mountain shrub and oak forest vegetation. Highlights here are Crimson-collared Grosbeak, Blue-crowned Motmot, Golden-winged Woodpecker, Thicket Tinamu (voice), Elegant Trogon, Rufous-capped Warbler, Brown Jay.At afternoon we depart to the Sierra Madre Oriental. Overnight in rustic cabins.

Day 2 - Birding this day is in Pine-Oak forest of Sierra Madre Oriental. The main highlight will be the endemic and endangered Maroon-fronted Parrot, we will visit one of the main nesting cliff of the species. Other interesting birds are Brown-backed Solitaire, Rufous-capped Brush-Finch, Hooded Yellowthroat, Crescent-chested Warbler.Overnight in Saltillo city.

Day 3 - At early morning we depart to the prairies where Worthen Sparrow is the main highlight. Others are Golden Eagle, Cassin’s, Black-chinned, and Black-throated Sparrows. At noon we drive back to Monterrey.
