These states together hosts some of the most extraordinary species of birds in Mexico, they cover the southern part of the range for many western species as well as many lowlands species of the balsas drainage, some of the species possible in this trip include San Blas Jay, Black-throated Magpie Jay, Balsas-creech Owl, Eared Poorwill, Aztec Thrush, Mexican Woodnymph, Elegant Quail, Banded Quail, Spotted Wren, Black-chested Sparrow, Military Macaw, West Mexican Chachalaca, Yellow-winged Cacique, Green-Striped Brushfinch, Rusty-crowned Groud Sparrow, Russet-crowned Motmot, plus many other fantastic species, we have created a 15 day itinerary to explore this gorgeous area.
